Account Information
When you sign up, we collect information provided by our identity providers (Firebase Authentication, Apple, and Google), including:
- Unique User Identifier (UID)
- Email address
- Display name (if provided)
User-Generated Content
We store the content you create and interact with:
- Quizzes: Topics, questions, titles, and tags.
- Activity: Quiz scores, attempt history, and performance statistics.
- Public Contributions: If you choose to publish a quiz, it becomes visible to all Quiz-Wiz users.
AI and Research Telemetry
To provide and improve our AI features, we process:
- Search Queries: The topics and research prompts used to generate quizzes.
- AI Performance: Model identifiers, processing times, and tool usage logs.
- Imagery: Images retrieved through research may be cached or persisted to provide thumbnails for your quizzes.
Subscription Data
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. We store your premium status and subscription history to gate "Pro" features. We do not directly handle or store your credit card information.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected data to:
- Provide AI-powered quiz generation and storage.
- Synchronize your library across devices.
- Facilitate community sharing via the Public Quiz feed.
- Analyze service performance and improve AI accuracy.
- Enforce usage quotas and maintain service security.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers essential to our operations:
- Google Firebase/Cloud: For hosting, database storage, and authentication.
- Google AI (Gemini): To generate quiz content.
- Exa AI: To perform research and find factual information.
- RevenueCat: To process and manage subscriptions.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data as long as your account is active.
Your Right to Deletion
You can delete your account at any time through the "Profile" section of the app. This triggers a permanent purge of:
- Your authentication profile.
- All saved quizzes and attempt history.
- All telemetry logs and search events associated with your UID.
- Any persisted images you have generated.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including Firestore Security Rules and encrypted transit (HTTPS), to ensure your data is only accessible by you.
